Say what you will about him, but when it comes to the style portion of celebrityhood, Mr. Kelly is no slouch. The actor/singer attended the Berlin Film Festival to promote his new film Taurus , in which he stars under his given name Colson Baker as a self-destructive rockstar. Did we also mention that he’s no slouch in the branding and self-promotion portions too? Anyway, here he is at the photo call and premiere, not slouching.

If you pay for that much ink, you’re going to look for every opportunity to showcase it. It’s an interesting look overall. The pants are pretty nice and we think the idea of an open, sheer shirt like this one absolutely works for him. It’s that kimono-style jacket that just isn’t working here. Much as we love when menswear manages to break away from its rigid norms, we think a skinny blazer in the same pattern would have worked much better. Granted, it wouldn’t have look nearly as fresh.

We hate to give those problematic bitches D&G any compliments, but this is a fantastic look. It’s formal enough for a film festival premiere, but tacky-glam enough for the MTV Awards. And the styling is flawless, from the hair to the jewelry to the shoes. Well done. It’s not really that hard to do High Rocker Chic when you have access to all the merch, but it’s still rare to see it executed as flawlessly as this.
