It is a testament to Good Lady Cate that we’d get up on a Saturday morning and get straight to work on her first red carpet appearance in almost a year-and-a-half without even having to mention it to each other. We should warn you that GLC is delivering something she never has on this site before: a scrolldown surprise. We fear some of you may be a weensy bit disappointed.
We, for our parts, love it. Mostly. Starting from the bottom, we love the kicks. We laughed when we saw them because they’re so unexpected coming from her. We think the jacket and pants are nice, but we have to admit, we don’t love the color and we think the half-flipped lapel looks a little silly. But we love the jewelry and the overall vibe of relaxed luxury. More than anything, we love that it’s all a bit of a surprise but still really stylish.
