We feel like we don’t quite have a handle on Sarah Snook’s style. Then again, we feel like she doesn’t either. We suppose there’s a really good argument to be made that this sort of low-key sexy classic is exactly what she should be doing right now while the spotlight’s on her:
Technically, there’s not a lot to critique here (except maybe the shoes, from what little we can see of them). Her looks respond really well to this sort of style and there’s good reason for her to want to promote herself in a manner that feels restrained and almost businesslike but surprisingly sexy and low-key glamorous. We really do get the argument here, if one was to be made in defense of this look. But we also feel like she’s got an opportunity to broaden her range or change the conversation about her, much in the same way an actress in a period piece (see: Jones, January & Dockery, Michelle) might. We’re just saying. Instead of all this restrained glamour, how about something over-the-top or wildly colored? How about an unexpected silhouette or hairstyle? The point, when you have that spotlight thanks to one role, is not to stand and pose. The point is to dance a little.
