This starts off so pretty (in that over-the-top Gucci sort of way), but it definitely gets more challenging (in that over-the-top Gucci sort of way) as you scroll down.
Her hair and makeup look great and the pink bodice is really beautiful on her. We’re not super-thrilled about the shoulder cutouts and we don’t think the gloves (which are fabulous, if impractical) pair all that well with the sleeves. They also look too thick on her fingers to be practical. Then again, practicality isn’t really on the style menu for a night like this. Our main problem is with the skirt. Or rather, it’s with the way the skirt marries to the bodice. Also, the tomato red is harsh. Also the shape of the skirt and the amount of beading makes it look heavy and oversized. Also we’re not loving the marabou trim. Gucci is defined by it’s “too much” aesthetic, but the whole bottom 2/3 of this look is just literally too much for any person or design to handle.
