We kinda dig this look, in a very Marion-specific sort of way.
It’s got a low-key sharpness that suits her very well and it has that sort of quirky, unexpected quality that tends to define her style preferences. In other words, that top half shouldn’t really go all that well with the bottom half, but the juxtaposition of the two pieces is so unexpected that it sort of works for us. Granted, you could argue that it looks like she’s wearing a bathing suit under a business suit and we would have no rebuttal to that charge. We hate to say it, but we think she might have been better served by the runway styling. A jacket really helps the silhouette, although we think the body-hugging top paired with the voluminous pants was a big selling point for her. At the very least, you can see how much the belts would have added to the look.
