Was the Cannes amfAR Gala a tacky affair or a glam affair? Does it have to one or the other? We’ll just say this: looking over this rundown of attendees, we think it’s notable that one of the more tastefully chic high-fashion looks is being worn by a drag queen. We’re just saying!

Bella Thorne in Miu Miu

Well, we’d say this all appears to be in order. And by that we mean it’s totally on-brand for her (and she’s extremely branded), if not remotely fashionable or chic. It’s tacky, but as we’ve said before, there’s a certain allowance for if not celebration of tackiness at the average amfAR gala.

Darren Criss in Balmain

The jacket is spectacular, but those pants look very “extra pair at no cost” to us.

Julianne Hough in Nicolas Jebran

We’d like it a lot more if it was in literally any color.

Maria Bakalova in Armani Privé

What a gorgeously grown-up and sophisticated turn. She looks amazing.

Miss Fame in Jean Paul Gaultier Couture

Always love it when a Drag Race alum pops up on an international red carpet, serving a pure lewk. She looks amazing.

Mj Rodriguez in Etro

Oof. Lady, we love you, but this is a no from every angle. She’s always at her style sweet spot when she’s evoking Cher, but there’s Good Cher and then there’s the N0t-So-Good Cher. This would be the latter.

Nina Dobrev in Mônot

Simple, but inarguable, even if it does need a good hoik.

Orlando Bloom in Boss

Ditto, except the hoik part.
