Emily Blunt is finally doing press for A Quiet Place Part II; a film that was due to be released over a year ago. It must feel weird. Granted, she doesn’t seem particularly fussed about it. In fact, this may be one of her least fussy looks in a long time:

While we’re rather skeptical when it comes to “everything will be different” predictions of post-pandemic life, we think it’s pretty safe to say that fashion will likely respond to it for some time, as is its way. A good sort of blueprint for what we may be seeing on the fashion front in the coming seasons can be found when you look at the 1920s and 1970s; times of rapid social change accompanied by a fevered need to party away the stresses of the world. Our point here? This sort of vaguely ’70s, relaxed kind style (sexy, but fairly easy to wear) is going to be a trend. Folks who care about fashion are going to want to go out looking good but they’re not likely to want to return to things like shapewear or hugely fussy styles. And skin will be in. Count on it.
Anyway, she looks fantastic. This is miles away from the kind of high-fashion fussiness of say, her Mary Poppins days.
