As we try to make clear at the top of today’s podcast, despite the title and the rather broad gap separating the two women in it, this is not the Judging Women Hour starring T Lo. Promise! Although us being us, we did manage to thread a minor theme connecting these two stories, which intersect at the crossroads of fashion and celebrity; our favorite spot from which to form opinions.
First up, Dr. Jill Biden was photographed in QUITE the sassy little ensemble, including a pair of what the press called “fishnets,” but we’d just call patterned tights. Regardless of what you call them, they created a minor stir, which we think was partially understandable.
Next up, at the very opposite end of the celebrity spectrum, Khloe Kardashian had herself a week, tried to get a whole bunch of folks shut down, and then offered an apology and explanation for her actions, blaming them on self-esteem issues and damaging beauty standards. Without being too bitchy about it, we have a few things to say in response to that.
And finally, a minor suggestion that if you’re looking for something soothing to watch, you simply can’t do any better than HBO MAX’s The Great Pottery Throwdown.
Tom caught season 4 this past week and tore through it.
