Miss Lily’s about to start shooting the second season of her Netflix show, the beloved hate-watch known as Emily in Paris. Before getting on that Paris-bound plane, she stopped by Chicago to show she’s all cultured and stuff.

Aw, we’re just teasing. While it’s tough to pose for pictures and pretend you’re considering great works of art at the same time, she wasn’t there just to model a dress and snag some attention. You can see the video below to see what this was all about.

As for the look, it’s perfectly photogenic and it was probably smart to go with a stark black-and-white dress knowing she’d be photographed in a setting exploding with color. The design’s a little tricky but we’re surprised to say that it really kinda works for us. With the styling, there’s a certain blend of serious and whimsical or old and new that seems well-suited to her and appropriate for the setting. It’s like she’s starring in a rom-com as a cute, but sometimes too-serious museum art curator who falls for the weed-smoking security guard she gets locked inside the museum with one night.

Uh… that story idea is copyright us, in case any producers are reading.
