Megs and Harry came back to the fold, if only briefly, making their first official royal appearance since they high-tailed it out of town in 2020. This is the most formally, publicly “royal” we’ve seen either of them since that time. They wore the full drag:

Dior is calling this gray, which means it probably reads a little more interesting in person. She was never going to show up in anything but a neutral, we suppose. We do like the rather soft quality it has in pictures. We’re a bit surprised it’s a coat dress, since that’s one of Kate’s signature styles. We like the hat and the prominent collar. We wish the fit was just a bit better. That yoke doesn’t sit right. We’re not sure what the protocol may be regarding when and where gloves are worn, but the ensemble looks better with them on. The earrings are lovely and the makeup is gorgeous. Of course the press are currently embroiled in a debate as to whether the crowd boo’d or cheered them on their way in and out of the service, but all in all, we’d say this comes off as a pretty successful appearance for them. Now, as to what’s going on during those private luncheons and family get-togethers, we can’t say, but we bet it’s juicy as hell.
