We’re going to be on the receiving end of so much hell for that headline, but we simply couldn’t help ourselves, darlings. The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee officially kicked off this morning with the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. The Queen made a balcony appearance, the kids were appropriately adorable, Harry and Meghan stayed inside, and Kate wore a big hat.

All three of the Cambridge kids inherited their great-grandmother’s epic inability to keep it off her face. It’s kind of hilariously adorable how much stinkface they’re serving. The family is extremely well-coordinated in blue and white while managing to not look too much like they’re all in uniform. Kate’s not really serving anything here we haven’t seen a thousand times from her before, but it’s all impeccable, with little touches of Diana’s iconic sapphires in just the right amount. Continuing her predilection for acknowledging family history through fashion, she has dressed Prince Louis in the same sailor outfit his father wore on the balcony in 1985. Camilla also did alright herself. The stripes in soft blues are flattering and offer a little visual interest to an event that isn’t known for having high impact style. The Queen looks lovely in the periwinkle suit she wore for her just-released Jubilee portrait, matching the Diamond Guards brooch that once belonged to her grandmother Queen Mary, which she wears every year for Trooping the Colour.

EDITED TO ADD:

It just wouldn’t be a family balcony appearance without one Mountbatten-Windsor child putting on a show. Prince Louis is going to be the Harry/Margaret of his generation; count on it.
