The stars of Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal stopped by the premiere from wherever else they were earlier, judging by the style on display.
It’s like Michelle Dockery and Naomi Scott heard that the theme was “black dresses” and opted to find the most complicated frocks they could get their hands on. Rupert is very brown.
Naomi Scott in Roberto Cavalli
Oof. We can’t sign off on belly flowers in any instance and those fetish straps look ridiculous with the rest of the design.
Sienna Miller in Giambattista Valli
This is a style we can only sum up as Funeral Twee. It’s dark and conservative, but sweetly retro. While we don’t love the dress, we could learn to like it with the right styling. The chain necklace makes no sense and the black satin pumps look dowdy. She took a not-fresh design and then agreed to a bunch of stale styling choices.
Michelle Dockery in Nensi Dojaka
On the one hand, we’re impressed by how well the dress and shoes coordinate visually. On the other hand, we don’t like the design of either the dress or the shoes. We also think black doesn’t really allow her to pop in pictures. She should work rich colors and pastels more.
Rupert Friend in Ferragamo
As we said, very brown. And those shoes are hideous. Nice enough coat, though.
