The cast of Russian Doll came out for the premiere of its second season, serving looks.
We would expect no less from them. They did not disappoint.
Chloë Sevigny in Carolina Herrera
This might be the most conventional (in that ’80s redux sort of way) thing we’ve seen her wear in years. Granted, she’s not quite as experimental with her fashion as she used to be, back when we were making up alternate personalities to go with each of her outfits. We like the design and it suits her really well, but it’s a shame how much the top is cutting into her.
Natasha Lyonne in Roberto Cavalli
We’re afraid we can’t sign off on this one. Natasha’s got a great vibe to her and she can wear all kinds of funky and personality-heavy fashion, but fetish-inspired styles really don’t suit her at all. The entire top half of this dress is so wildly overdesigned that it looks like a manic episode in clothing form.
Greta Lee in Proenza Schouler
We can barely see it against this backdrop (these all-black “red” carpets that are so popular now are doing no good for anyone), but her styling is great. Love the ring and the earrings.
Charlie Barnett
It’s a great suit and we love the slight oddness of the color story, but the white shirt and the black loafers feel a little too basic for it. We’d have liked a shirt that complemented the suit and we think a pair of stylish kicks would pull it together a bit better than a pair of tassel loafers, which seem to fusty for it. Plus those pants are a little too tight on him.
