Gotta love a power couple supporting each other during a good career month. We didn’t feature him, but Hugh Dancy was on hand a couple of nights ago for the screening of Claire’s upcoming limited series The Essex Serpent and now she’s returning the favor for his turn in the upcoming Downton Abbey: A New Era.
Somehow, his hair looks dashing but also a bit of a mess.

He really does have a knack for looking impeccable and messy at the same time, doesn’t he? We can tell the suit is fine and the fit is pretty good, although the jacket looks a little blocky on him. We just hate the color of the shirt and tie paired with it.
Claire Danes in Prada
We have a confession to make. We almost never like men’s style leather belts paired with dresses. It’s a look that seems to work a lot less frequently than it should. It defnitely doesn’t work here, although we should probably state here that we don’t much like the dress, with or without the belt. It’s not terrible, but we feel like we’ve seen some version of this too many times over the last few years. The scale of the lace and the applique does a little bit to make the design stand out, but we have no idea what that red ribbon’s all about.
