Chris Pine headed into the Jimmy Kimmel studios in his latest style persona, Hot Hippie Daddy.

He moved to a remote cabin in Canada to avoid the draft during the Vietnam War and from there, he launched his fashion brand. The rest is history. Or it would be in the world we would like to live in.

The best thing about this Boho Dandy look is that it wasn’t just for strolling through the parking lot. Your boy walked out on national television wearing this. There’s a lot of attention naturally paid to the styles of boundary-pushing male celebrities like Timothee Chalamet or Kodi Smit-McPhee or Lil Nas X – and that all makes perfect sense because those guys use high fashion brands to challenge gender presentation norms or to push the envelope a little on what constitutes fine male suiting. But all of those guys are basically doing editorial work; dressing like runway models or magazine covers. It takes a real sense of style if not adventure for a leading man to challenge current style norms using casual wear. The difficulty setting is much higher for an outfit like this as opposed to say, a custom suit made by Saint Laurent or something. It takes swagger and confidence to pull this off without looking clownish. It doesn’t hurt to look like Chris Pine.
