Zendaya and her master stylist Law Roach did it again. The Dune star showed up at the Oscars in one of the most discussable and eye-catching looks of the night (no surprise there), but what made it such an interesting set of choices was how it showed a great respect for and knowledge of red carpet and fashion history.
Because there’s no way this wasn’t an homage to Sharon Stone’s iconic 1998 Oscars look of a white men’s dress shirt and a silver floor-length skirt. Of course Law and Z had to modernize it and make it particular to her. While we think the proportions are a little off, we also think they’re pretty much supposed to be. Lengthening that top is just going to minimize the drama of the look. We love that she’s positively stacked with diamonds and we think the skirt is a total show-stopper. But that’s just us. You make the final call on this one:
