The Bat and the Cat take on Paris (with an assist by The Batman director Matt Reeves and apparent Bat-fan, footballer Neymar). Y’know, now that we think about it, we’d love to see a Batman movie set in Paris. All that gothic architecture to play with! Anyway, let’s judge their ensembles, which are stylish but incredibly disappointing to us.
We managed to piss off some R Patz fans (which is admittedly not exactly a difficult task) when we complained that it looked like we were in for an all-black Bat-promo tour. We regret to inform you that we were correct once again. To be fair, both of these outfits are pretty great. She is serving up a little Trinity realness, which is rarely a bad thing and definitely suits the hell out of her. His entire ensemble is clearly of the highest quality and looks fantastic on him. We never would have asked for or expected a promo tour full of bright, comic booky colors for this tour, but seeing them both doing the theme-dressing thing is a major letdown. They continued their color-free tour with a fan event hosted by Neymar:
And here’s where it gets problematic. The daylight shots work, but if you’re dressing all (or mostly) in black for a night event at which there will definitely be an all-black backdrop, no one can really see your outfits all that well. Both of their ensembles looks pretty great, from what little we can see of them.
