Everyone uses different types of shoes, like canvas, leather, cotton, etc. and it gets dirty at some point. According to their construction material, it needs to be cleaned properly. Cleaning of shoes from time to time will keep them fresh and their life also increases accordingly. As discussed earlier, different types of shoes require different cleaning methods. Canvas and all other sports shoes can be cleaned step by step. Leather shoes require a different method to clean them, as they can’t be cleaned directly with water. 1) REMOVE DIRT AND DEBRIS FROM THE SHOES.
The first and important step is to remove dirt and debris from the shoes. For that use shoebrush, toothbrush, or any small cleaning brush. Gently stroke the dirt by giving enough pressure to loosen it. Remove all the dirt properly.

2) CLEAN SOLES.
The second important way to clean shoes is to clean the soles of the shoes. As the dirt over soles is stubborn, it needs proper cleaning. For that take baking soda and water, make a site. Rub this mix with a brush over the soles of the shoes. Wipe clean with a wet cloth.

3) REMOVE STAINS.
Now concentrate on removing stains on your shoes. For that, you can use stain remover. Place a small amount of stain remover over the stained area allow it to remain there for some time and wash it gently. Also, you can use baby powder or cornstarch for oil stain.

4) WASH IN THE WASHING MACHINE.
Gently wash your shoes in a washing machine using mild detergent. When the machine is about three-quarters of the way filled with water, add the shoes and close the lid.

5) AIR DRY THE SHOES.
Once the washing of shoes is over, allow the shoes to dry overnight. Ensure to keep shoes away from direct sun, heat, or air vents. Dry it overnight.
