Emily in Paris star Lily Collins stopped by Ellen’s studio today and served up the first shot of celebrity promotional style of 2022.
We think it’s just right – for her, for this project, and even for this particular week. Something fun and bright is just the thing for a post-holiday appearance. We like how quirky it is and how well she can handle this look without looking overwhelmed by it. It feels modern but has a classic half-century-old shape to it. We love how the flower motif is worked into the collar shape. Those shoes look heavy enough to keep her upright in a hurricane, but again, she can handle them easily. Fashion is her plaything and the titular Emily is defined by the loudly declarative styles she wears. It’s a perfect synthesis of actress, character, and designer.
