We suspect this look is not to everyone’s taste, but then again what outfit is? As we said when she wore that goofy-ass Loewe dress, whether we like her specific choices is of less interest to us than the fact that her choices remain interesting and unexpected. It’s no revelation at this point to mention her former modeling career and how it’s clearly influenced her relationship with high fashion, but as an actress on the awards track, with an increasingly likely Oscar nod in the near future, she’s really stretching herself and refusing to be too conventional, which is always fun to see.

Anyway, we have no notes here. Love the blouse, love the skirt, love the shoes. Sure, we could understand an argument that says a blazer, belt and slingbacks would’ve taken this somewhere closer to conventional chic, but to us, the nerdy styling is the entire point of the look. She won’t be pegged or predicted. She’ll dress like a movie star next time. Or maybe the time after that.
