As we noted when we covered the New York premiere of West Side Story, this promotional tour is something of a debutante’s coming out for Rachel Zegler, since she’s stepping out of near obscurity to take on one of the most iconic ingenue roles in musical theater history – with a signature song entirely devoted to her feeling pretty in a dress. There’s really only one way for her to go when it comes to what styles to wear while promoting it.

Pure Cinderella fantasy, of course. There’s little to be surprised about here and we figure that’s entirely by design. Like the Dior Couture gown she wore in New York, it’s wispy and ethereal with a tea-stained feeling of old romance. A pressed flower in dress form. We definitely aren’t huge fans of neutrals on red carpets, but we completely get why she’s not stepping out in bright red dresses at this point.
