We figure it’s not surprising that Lady Gaga, ever the game player, would wear the most conventionally Hollywood Glam ensemble on her House of Gucci promo tour at none other than the Los Angeles premiere.
The dress is beautifully fitted to her, even if we do think the bust sits a little low. But we wouldn’t even call that a quibble. It’s all perfect from the neck down, even if it’s not the most exciting thing she’s ever worn. But this is the first time we’ve had an issue with her head styling on this tour. She’s been doing a pretty fine job of combining fairly traditional (for her) red carpet choices in the prestige actress mode with pure pop star hair and makeup. We liked the effect and felt that it spoke to her ambitions and persona. Maybe it’s because this dress is so classically Hollywood (any of a long line of classic Hollywood blondes could’ve worn it) that we find her hair and makeup too harsh for it. Are we wrong? As always around these parts, opinions must be formed and firmly stated, so let’s hear it:
