It’s been two long years since we had that celebrity perennial of faux social climbing and questionable daywear, the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Let’s pop open a bottle and judge everyone!

Charlize Theron

As per our previous message to you, Miss Charlize is in a style rut and we’re begging her to wear a color now and then. Having said that, this is cuter than we’d like to admit – especially the shoes.

Christina Hendricks in Ralph Lauren

We don’t think the hat really goes, but the ’40s style dress looks really cute.

Dylan McDermott

While we think he’s looking more or less fine here, it’s notable how even he can only make seersucker look so good. The cut on those pants is not great for him.

Gabrielle Union in Elie Saab

It’s a giant polo shirt. What’s not to love?

Jamie Chung

The feels – and looks – extremely overworked.

Jodie Turner-Smith

We’re sorry to say it because we think she’s fabulous, but this is also just a bit over-styled and over-dressed for a polo match. None of it feels like it goes together.

Justin Hartley

It’s a little basic, but he looks really cute in it.

Keke Palmer in Etro

This is also a little basic but she looks amazing in it, ass ruffle aside.

Lana Condor in Reformation

Oooh, girl. That did not travel well, did it? Cute day look, but probably not the best choice for a polo classic.

Renée Elise Goldsberry in Lela Rose

Wow, fringe really is back in a big way, isn’t it? This is like the tenth iteration we’ve seen in the last several weeks. Love the print, but the fringe makes the whole thing look like a piano shawl.
