It’s almost always a mistake to apply too much of a narrative to these sorts of things, but we do believe Miss Thomasin McKenzie is improving with each new fit on her Last Night in Soho promo tour. Granted, we’re using a ridiculously small sample size (three outfits total), but is this not the cutest thing she’s worn all week?

Considering her film festival look was one of the worst of the year and her LA premiere look had at least a few things going for it, it’s downright encouraging to see her step up in something as perfectly cute and perfectly suited to her as this. We still think she turns to super-tight hairstyles too much, but at least this one frames her face well. The top knot really works with the style. She looks great in a high collar and lots of bright colors and bold graphics. We’re pointing all this out in case her team wants to take any notes. No need to thank us. It’s the least we could do. Keep it up, girl!
