While her co-star is out here serving up some 1970s realness during the Passing press tour, Tessa Thompson got a little bit of butch/femme play going on.

ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER
Sleek, chic, and hot. Love the hair and makeup here. No wheels are being reinvented, but it’s a sharp look that suits her (pun unintended) incredibly well. The carnation is a fabulous touch. Not entirely sure about the shape of those pumps or the incredibly high vamp on them. Maybe they’re just for sitting down.
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
Oh, another pair of for-sitting-only pumps! It’s sort of a theme, we guess. We can get pretty bitchy about crop tops and cutouts, but as we said earlier today with Gemma Chan’s offering, we actually don’t mind either when they’re done well and suit the wearer. This one works, largely because of the wide placement of the straps and the gold trim, both of help prevent it from looking like a formal bra. The hair is gorgeous and the choker was just the right touch, although we don’t think it or the shoes needed to be black.
