Like pretty much everyone reading this, we don’t claim to know Regina King or have insight into her personality, but stars cultivate images and sometimes those images are faithful enough or pervasive enough to give people the sense that they have some idea of celebrities’ basic personalities. In her case, she’s always come across as someone who makes things look easy and doesn’t get caught up in overthinking things; pretty much the textbook definition of “low key and chill.” Who knows if it’s true? Maybe she’s a high-strung diva or a drama queen behind close doors, for all we know. But we smiled when we saw these pictures. We’ve often talked about the pitfalls of dressing for any event that requires you to lay down on the sidewalk in front of cameras. There are so many things to consider, so many dangers to avoid. Then there’s Regina’s approach, which can be summed up as, “Whatever. I’m wearing a pink Fendi suit, a low-cut top, and heels because I look good.”
And you know? She’s absolutely right. It may not have been the most practical choice, but she looks cute.
