We’re all over the map on this one. Generally, we haven’t been fully in love with Rebecca Ferguson’s promo style leading up to the Dune release, although we did love her white suit for the London photo call. This look isn’t particularly fresh, but it is dramatic and well suited to her.
It just feels a little off somehow. The waist’s too high, the skirt’s too full and we don’t love the beaded bow motif. We don’t mind the unusual bustline, but that choke is completely wrong for the look. In fact, everything from the neck up seems questionable to us. The hair is pretty but it feels underwhelming as a capper to that massive gown. And it just seems odd to be sporting a 10-pound diamond necklace and a ball gown with a clean face. Even the hair jewelry seems a little oddly chosen. It is us? Are we being too hard on her? We’re asking for real.
