We were going to be all judgey and use these pictures as the launching point for another whine about how Charlize Theron has been in a style rut for years, but dammit, sometimes a stale style is like a stopped clock. At the right time, for just a second, it works.
She rarely wears colors, often turns to leather, and likes to keep things ever so softly minimalist butch in her style choices. She could have worn this same ensemble at any time over the last 8 years or so. We’ll even go so far as to say it mostly looks great on her. Sure, the shape of the pants is a bit tough to get over and there’s not a lot here for the eye to lock onto, but she looks comfortable and there’s no denying that this has to be her preference, given how often she returns to it. The only reason we can’t truly get bitchy about it is because the whole look is a pretty great way to promote your turn as Morticia in a Halloween release without getting costumey about it.
