Get ready for more French romance. Netflix shared brand-new photos from Emily In Paris’s sophomore season and all the things that fans love (and critics seemed to hate) about the show are back and, well, dialed up even more.
As viewers remember, at the end of the show’s first season, Emily, played by Lily Collins, managed to stay in the City of Lights, much to the delight of her fellow castmates, including resident hot chef Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo. The couple du jour are included in the new snapshots, which also show Emily wearing a beret, which is apparently costume designer Pat Fields’s favorite way to let everyone know that we’re not in Chicago anymore (never forget Carrie Bradshaw’s beret moment in Sex and the City season 6).

Like everything Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham and Nicks met in an appropriately cinematic way. As the story goes, both musicians attended the same high school party in San Francisco in the late ’60s. Nicks spotted Buckingham in the living room, singing “California Dreaming,” and she joined in.

“It’s Been A Whirlwind”: Paul Mescal Talks Classic Style – And His Unlikely Introduction To Fame
Paul Mescal is making up for lost time. He became a star when the critically adored TV adaptation of Normal People was released in June 2020, but with the world in the grip of the first wave of Covid, Mescal spent the ensuing months in his living room, rather than on the red carpet. Though the planned New York Film Festival premiere for the show was not to be, 18 months on, the rollercoaster of glittering events that traditionally accompanies overnight fame is really ramping up for the actor. “It’s been a whirlwind,” Mescal says over the phone from Berlin, where he was a guest of honour at a dinner to celebrate Cartier’s new Clash de Cartier capsule collection. “This is really the first event I’ve done that hasn’t been related to the show. Berlin is amazing.”
There were some advantages to his unlikely introduction to fame, Mescal admits. “I feel like I’ve spent the last year in the public eye, but on stabilisers, or with armbands on,” he says. “I imagine the alternative could feel quite mentally overwhelming, but I had a bit of time while I was figuring out who I am, and what my relationship to the wider industry is going to be.”

That’s why it’s been so sexy and intriguing for people for 90 years to build it.” When he and his wife, Avant, were looking for a way to contribute, their friend Irena Medavoy suggested a tribute to Sidney Poitier, the 94-year-old screen legend and civil rights activist who had been like a godfather to Avant when she was growing up. They involved the actor’s daughter, Sydney Poitier, in a campaign to name the lobby in his honor. “I don’t think it’s coincidental that it’s the entry because Sidney represents the entry,” Avant says. “He opened the doors for so many others.”

Billy Eichner’s Bros will be historic in a couple of ways.
Eichner is already the first openly gay man to co-write and star in his own major studio film, and now the Universal Pictures feature has made history by setting a historic all-LGBTQ principal cast. What’s more, all of the principal heterosexual roles will be played by openly LGBTQ actors and actresses.
Bros, the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio, is described as a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about two gay men (Eichner, Luke Macfarlane) maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling toward love. Maybe. They’re both very busy. Eichner co-wrote the script alongside Nicholas Stoller, with whom he worked on Netflix’s Friends From College. Stoller will direct and exec produce alongside Judd Apatow, Eichner and Josh Church (Trainwreck).

While it’s easy to wax poetic about Jacinto’s facial structure, it isn’t half as fascinating as the man himself—or his versatility as an actor. In 2017, an intrepid group of young surfers, freedivers, and fishermen in French Polynesia noticed something bleak brewing under the surface of their beloved waters around their home island of Mo’orea: The coral was dying off. And it was dying off fast.
With global warming and rising sea temperatures, coral reefs are finding themselves in grave danger. The increase in temperature, light, and exposure can cause what is known as coral bleaching. As the National Ocean Service explains, when water is too warm, “corals will expel the algae living in their tissues causing the coral to turn completely white… When a coral bleaches, it is not dead. Corals can survive a bleaching event, but they are under more stress and are subject to mortality.”
Delta pushes airlines to create a national ‘no fly’ list of unruly passengers, after banning 1,600 people from its flights
Delta Air Lines wants to create a national “no fly” list of banned passengers to prevent unruly behaviour onboard aircraft.
The carrier has pushed other US airlines to share their lists of passengers who have been banned during the pandemic for disruptive behaviour, according to a memo to flight attendants on Wednesday, first reported by Reuters.
“We’ve also asked other airlines to share their ‘no fly’ list to further protect airline employees across the industry,” Delta said in the memo. “A list of banned customers doesn’t work as well if that customer can fly with another airline.”
Delta has put more than 1,600 people on its own no-fly list since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the airline said in the memo.
The largest space telescope in history is about to blow our minds

These are not the plot of a new science fiction movie, but the mission objectives of the James Webb Space Telescope, the long-awaited successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. NASA is building and launching the Webb in partnership with the European Space Agency and Canada.
The launch, which will propel the Webb to nearly a million miles away, is now scheduled for December 18, 2021. When it fully deploys in space, the Webb will usher in a new age of astronomy, scientists say, and show humanity things it has never seen before.
“The Webb represents the culmination of decades, if not centuries, of astronomy,” says Sara Seager, a planetary scientist and astrophysicist at MIT. “We’ve been waiting for this a very long time.”
I feel weird about Dear Evan Hansen
The Tony-winning musical is widely beloved. Critics trashed the new movie. So what does that mean?
Last week, as I settled into a seat at the Princess of Wales theater and pulled out my notebook before yet another screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, the nice older couple sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder. “Excuse me, are you a journalist?” the woman asked through her mask.
When I nodded and said I was, her husband asked me, with a hint of fear in his voice, “Did you see Dear Evan Hansen? What did you think?”
The film in question — a screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, directed by Stephen Chbosky and featuring the show’s star Ben Platt — had been the opening-night premiere at the festival a few days earlier. The story of an anxious high schooler named Evan who, in order to be liked, lies about his friendship with a fellow student who died by suicide, it had been one of the festival’s most anticipated premieres. Yes, I saw it. Lots of critics did.
