As we said on the twitters last night, when you invite Iman to the Met Gala…
… you better be prepared for motherfucking IMAN to show up. And you be ready for her serving pure goddess/witch/priestess/queen realness to such an extent that all other attendees are blinded by the light she puts off.
In truth, the bottom half of this look is only so-so, and we don’t think the gold textile is the best choice for what is essentially a jumpsuit or a bustier and pants. We also think the fabric tends to fight with the overall effect of the crinoline tiers. But let’s face it: that utterly glorious head dress is the centerpiece here and Harris Reed is to be commended for understanding that when you invite a sun goddess to the Met Gala, you better provide her with the appropriate crown.
