Sarah Paulson ditched the Linda Tripp togs to get a little witchy with it. The Impeachment: American Crime Story star (you can read our review here) stopped by Colbert’s place to get into the Halloween spirit a little early.
Granted, her style preferences tend toward the witchy nine time out of ten. one of the things we love most about her style is how severe and un-demure it is, even when she’s wrapped in lace and sporting puffy sleeves. She goes for dramatic, theatrical looks and to our way of thinking, that’s one of the best ways for a star to approach their public style. Sure, you can choose to be relatable in your style or even aspiration if that twirls your proverbial skirt. But we’ll always love it most when a star chooses to dress like an artist or a performer; using fashion like costume design. Which is why it pains us to say that the most theatrically dramatic costumey part of this look, the headband, is the one part we hate.
