Here’s how we know things have really gotten back to normal in the world of celebrity promotion: a starlet in a sparkly gown standing next to her male co-star in an undershirt. Nature has healed.
He’s one big “whatever” when it comes to style. If he ever wore a suit in public in a color other than black, gray, or navy blue, we have no recollection of it in over a decade of covering him. He couldn’t even pick an interesting t-shirt to pair with this one.
Her dress is fine. This doesn’t strike us as a high-glitz affair, so she’s straddling a line between serving a little bit of sparkle and a stately sense of prestige as befits a Serious Film premiere. We don’t love the design at all (it’s generic and maybe a little bit mature for her), but it gets the job done, we guess.
This trailer does nothing to make us want to see this film.
