We had no idea how much we missed the outside-the-studio talk show fashion parade during lockdown. We tended to be much more whiney about the lack of red carpets and photo calls, but seeing Mindy Kaling joyously working the crowd outside the Colbert studio the other day and now watching Emily get her own little victory lap, these sidewalk sashays suddenly feel so much more essential if not downright celebratory than we remembered.
This is honestly super-cute. It really nails the assignment by being photogenically stylish while also being wearable enough for navigating (however briefly) a New York sidewalk in high summer. Love the kicks and (we can’t believe we’re saying this) the cutouts. She looks adorable.
