We just got finished writing 250 words about how a leopard print ensemble can be chic and not tacky. Here comes Miss Riley to prove us wrong.

We want to love this for being gloriously tacky because this film practically begs for eye-popping, what-was-she-thinking promotional fashion. But this isn’t that. It’s more like a bunch of randomly selected pieces thrown together with styling that doesn’t quite pull it all together. The shorts don’t look like they match the jacket at all (and the two items really don’t work well from a proportional perspective. The boots feel randomly chosen. The hair is fun, but the makeup looks more appropriate for a much more formal look. Trashy Chic is absolutely the right way to go for this promo, but this look just doesn’t seem to reach that level. We don’t hate it, but it doesn’t get to where it needs to be, if that makes any sense.
