Darlings, we won’t claim familiarity with many of the folks here and we absolutely won’t be applying our usual fashion-judging criteria, but we are so thrilled to have an actual, for-real red carpet situation happening that it just doesn’t matter. The Met Gala it is not, but y’know? We actually feel like a loud, glitzy, party-time vibe is way more fun for any red carpet than the usual attempts at haute style. Music awards red carpets are always to be taken with a certain understanding that the fashion is meant to be attention-seeking and tacky, but the Latin AMAs bumps that factor even higher. These folks are here to party like winners and they won’t be doing it in a subtle manner. Get with this vibe.

Adamari Lopez in Augusto Manzanares

We hear Alexis Mateo saying “BAM!” every time we look at this. We hope she said it the whole time she was being photographed.

Ana Bárbara in Monsoori

This is rather simple and low key, all things considered. We’ve spent an uncomfortable amount of time staring at her legs, trying to ascertain if she’s wearing sheer hose or not.

Ariadna Gutiérrez

A look that says “TAKE THE PICTURE” loud and clear.

Christian Chávez in Jusef Sanchez

We give him credit for two things: Making this off-the-beaten-path choice and showing up with enough storage to prepare for any eventuality. We bet he could go camping for a weekend with nothing but this on his back.

Dascha Polanco in House of Jewell Couture

It’s completely insane and we adore it. We kinda want to see her attempt to pick up that bag, though.

Fabiola Guajardo in Alfredo Martinez

This is also relatively low-key but pretty fabulous.

Jacky Bracamontes in Maison Alarcon

It’s bold, it’s loud, it’s got a big bow and her stomach looks like the undergirding to a bridge. But we like the shoes.

Karol G

We don’t know what came first; the hair color or the simple white gown, but we love them together.

Manuel Turizo in Louis Vuitton

Really, really cute. Dreamy, even.

Ninel Conde in Giannina Azar

A look that screams “STOP WASTING YOUR TIME TAKING HER PICTURE AND GET ON THIS.”

Ricky Martin in Dior Homme

Hello, beautiful. While we can understand any photographer wanting to focus on that mug, we do wish we could’ve seen the rest of the outfit. We’re not convinced by that shirt.

Zozibini Tunzi in Christian Cowan

Honestly? That may be one of the most fabulously elegant sheer gowns we’ve ever seen. She looks fantastic.
