If this Gucci dress was sentient and had any sort of sense, it would be thanking Jodie Turner-Smith for deigning to grace it with herself.

Black-backed florals can be harsh and tricky to pull off, especially if they’re large-scale florals in really bright colors. We’re not particularly surprised that the print looks great on her, but it’s notable how it looks so great that we barely pay attention to the actual shape of the dress – which we don’t like at all. The sleeves and the neckline give it the feel of a dressing gown. But the hair, makeup and jewelry are all so flawless, and the print looks so eye-catching, that the actual style of the dress doesn’t really matter. She looks fantastic.

We hope this is just the kick0ff to a major fashion promo campaign. We’re ready, Miss Jodie.
